Neither I nor my children are religious,
This year we are saddened by the very recent death of their grandmother, my mother-in-law, and have a period of morning to go through. I am wondering if it would be appropriate to attend your Xmas evening service.
Hi Ron,
If you would like to come, you are very welcome to attend the service. There will be familiar Christmas carols and candles are handed out to everyone for the candlelight portion. I find it very beautiful. There will also be Holy Communion, but there is no expectation for anyone to receive it. My husband is an atheist and he visits St Luke’s from time to time and never takes communion. So, you definitely don’t have to be religious to enjoy the service.
